The Artist drew inspiration for this piece of art from the beloved cartoon characters of the television series called The Flintstones, which was produced by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera starting in 1960. Not only was The Flintstones the first series to hold a prime-time slot on television, but also was the longest-running network animated television series for three decades.
Although over one hundred characters appeared throughout the program, the Artist featured some of the most iconic characters in the form of a technical blueprint composition beneath the assemblage of the colorful main characters above it. All expressive cartoon characters have been carefully arranged in this unique collage format.
